Winters in the Poconos see average high temperatures in the 30s while summers have average high temperatures in the 80s. Spring and Fall temperatures can average anywhere between 50F to 75F. The Poconos area sees snow over the winter months and some rain during the spring and fall months. Summer months are usually dry, except for an occasional afternoon thunderstorm. There is no one best time of year to visit the Poconos. Depending on whether you want to ski or hike or engage in water activities, the Poconos have exciting adventures for you all year around.

You can travel to the Poconos in your own car. It is easy to access via several highways. You could also rent a car to get to the Poconos if you do not wish to drive your own. In addition, there are many bus trips that go to the Pocono Mountain area. A bus is a great way to get to the Poconos because you don’t have to worry about driving.
