As a vacation home rental company, we are (pretty much) experts on the best time of year to travel, especially when it comes to heading up to the Pocono Mountains. As September comes to an end, we are entering an incredible season full of great food, beer and other outdoorsy experiences. The Grand Leisure Travel team is looking forward to a number of activities taking place these next few weeks.
Our personal favorite event, the Hawley Harvest Hoedown, will begin on October 2nd. Count yourself in for some cider tasting, live music and family activities. The Coal Town Rounders, Roosevelt Dime and Caribou Mountain Collective will be blessing us with great bluegrass and folk music on Saturday, October 3rd at the Ritz Theater.
An awesome event for the whole family is the annual pumpkin carving and storytelling dinner. The Settlers Inn hosts tons of Pocono visitors for a crafty night of Fall fun.
And for our active travelers, the 2nd Annual Lake to Lake 8k Trail Run and Woods Walk will take participants on a course that goes through 550 acres of nature trails that wind through the park. Proceeds from this event will benefit Lacawac's preservation, environmental programs, scientific research and public awareness outreach.
We hope to see you there.
