Short and Sweet Road Trips - Visit the Poconos This Fall!

Summer is finally over and we all have that sweater weather itch. What better way to enjoy your Pumpkin Spice Latte than on the road to the Poconos to view some of the densest, most widely renowned fall foliage?

The foliage, the festivals, the pumpkin picking and more- our Pocono vacation rentals are placed right in the heart of the best Pocono Fall Fun you can find. The Poconos activities in the Fall are endless. In fact, it just might be our favorite time of year to visit.

When planning a fall foliage tour, there’s no better place than the Poconos. The region is known for illuminating autumn colors that peak three separate times throughout the season, and the colorful driving routes teeming with charming towns, local breweries and wineries, and outdoor adventure.

The point we’re trying to make is - hop in the car and start exploring the Pocono’s best done-in-a-day fall road trips. Oh and if you need a place to stay, Grand Leisure Travel can provide you with a cozy and quaint Pocono cabin rental.

Here are a few suggestions before booking your Pocono cabin rental!

Tip #1: Paddle the Delaware River

Take a break from the car for a quick kayak or canoe trip down the untamed Delaware River surrounded by autumn leaves. The choice is yours - you can also take the free River Runner shuttle from Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area to four spots along the Delaware.

Tip #2: Drive to the peak of Camelback Mountain

What we love most about the Poconos are the endless back country views on the winding paved road to the top of Camelback Mountain. Rising 2,100 feet above sea level, the mountain offers views stretching all the way to New Jersey and New York By the way - the vast majority of our Pocono vacation rentals are just 5-10 minutes from the beautiful Camelback Mountain. Does it get any better than that?

Tip #3: Cross the Roebling Bridge

Drive one of Pennsylvania’s best fall color roads, Route 6, to Roebling Aqueduct Bridge; the nation’s oldest wire cable suspension bridge. Constructed in 1847 to support the bustling D&H Canal, today you can still walk or drive the bridge across the state-line into New York. Tired after a long day’s worth of walking? Head back to your cozy Pocono vacation rental and sit by the fire.

For more festive fun, hop on a hay ride, enjoy apple or pumpkin picking or head on over to a Pocono Fall Festival with your entire group - these events are always family-friendly! Again, each of these amazing attractions are just MINUTES from our Pocono cabin rentals.

Relax and embrace the red, orange and yellow landscape that line the roads as you venture to your Poconos cabin rental this Fall. Make a Grand Leisure Travel Pocono Rental your home away from home this Autumn.
